ONLINE CULTURE ASSESSMENT AND REPORT
If you like the ideas in the book and want to apply them to your organization, then you should start with our assessment. It’s a small and quick project, but it will help you pinpoint the specific areas where change will have the biggest impact. We will have your staff complete our online Social Business Readiness Assessment, and then we’ll compile our analysis and recommendations for you into a brief written report. You’ll get metrics on 12 different elements that define a “human” organization, ranging from assumptions that drive your culture, to basic workplace behaviors. HUMAN RESOURCE SOLUTIONS
Nothing affects your culture more than your people processes, yet human resources (despite its name) has been mired in the mechanical approach, despite the genuine desire of HR pros to do it better. We offer help–both to very small organizations who don’t have a dedicated HR function, and larger organizations who want to embrace a new and more powerful way of doing HR. Yes, we recognize that we do not come from the human resource field–and that is precisely why we have something to offer here. Here are the projects we’ve developed so far:
Performance Management. We will help you overhaul your performance management system so that it reinforces the culture that you want, and makes feedback a welcome and regular part of getting work done (rather than a painful HR process once a year). We will analyze your current processes and help you design new ones that are more consistent with the principles in Humanize.
Hiring. We’ll help you change your hiring process so that it grows your system more effectively, rather than just “fills positions.” This includes review and modification of what you present to candidates, as well as what you gather from them, and it sharpens the connection between hiring and culture. For small organizations, we’ll create new processes. For larger ones, we’ll help you make strategic shifts.
Employee Orientation. We will help you move beyond compliance and information overload in your orientation process, and towards helping employees better understand the unique paths to success and results for your business. This requires a series of facilitated meetings, at least one in each department, to identify the success drivers and critical obstacles for the system, and then we’ll design some process supplements to make sure employees learn what they need to know to succeed.

TRAINING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
If you want a human organization, you’re going to need some well-developed humans, and that means building capacity at all levels of the organization. Bring us in to do some training and development programs to better enable your people to create–and deal with–the changes that are coming as our organizations grow beyond their industrial heritage.
21st Century Leadership. Designed for management teams and other leaders, this half-day training program introduces the key concepts in Humanize and helps leaders reshape their own job descriptions to be more consistent with an emerging social business.
Conflict. The core skill for a social business is conflict resolution, and in this half-day session you’ll get the basics to help you solve problems more effectively and navigate the tough (sometimes emotional) conflict conversations that human organizations need to be agile.
